The small quantities ordered of ingredients, the small batches of chocolate, and the labor-intensive process lead to a higher cost of making chocolate, but we are not in the business of making and selling candy. Our bean-to-bar artisan fine organic chocolate is for the person who prioritizes quality over cost.
EXPENSIVE INGREDIENTSWe don't buy our ingredients in large quantities, so we pay more for them but we maintain greater control over their quality. It's easier to test, identify and discard poor quality ingredients when the package is small. Additionally, every ingredient in our chocolate is organic, which are typically more expensive than non-organic ingredients.

SMALL BATCHESFrom the roasting to the molding of chocolate, we use equipment often found in your typical home kitchen. We craft smaller (max. 10 lbs.) batches of chocolate in the same processing time as candy makers would produce tons of their products, but the absence of calibrated industrial equipment results in chocolate bars with unique appearance and flavors.

SINGLE ARTISAN OPERATIONWe don't mass produce chocolate for retailers. One batch at a time, our chocolate is slowly and carefully crafted. It takes us approximately four hours of crafting, 24 hours of refining, and another couple of hours of patience to prepare a small batch of our delicious chocolate, but we take pride in handling the process personally.
